Terms and conditions
I want you to be happy with the service or goods that I provide and I want you to tell your friends that I provide a great service. That’s why I am trying to make everything as clear as possible, the last thing I want is tarnish the pleasure you get from war gaming. I have tried to provide a user friendly version of the terms and way the transactions will occur in the following text. If there is anything you want to know, anything you don’t understand or anything you want clarifying then please contact me and I will try and help.
I sell miniatures in one of two ways:
You can buy pre-painted off the shelf miniatures from the store.
You can ask me to paint some miniatures specifically for you.
Each item in the store is unique; the paint jobs will vary very slightly. So I ensure that you get what you buy by putting a code on the underside of each base. The store uses the PayPal checkout, and I set the quantity of each item to one, once it is paid for it is no longer available.
You can ask for me to paint some models specifically to your requirements. The more information you supply me with the more accurate a price I can quote you. Ideally you would supply me with pictures of the models (or a link to them on a site), pictures of how you want them painting (or a good description), the number and size of models you want painting, and details on how you want them basing. If you aren’t sure about what you want, or only have vague ideas then please contact me and I’ll try and help.
I strongly recommended that you get the commission accepted before you buy the miniatures. If I can accept the commission and if you are happy with the quote and the estimated timescales, you can send me the miniatures that you want painting. I will check the miniatures and notify you of any damage in transit. The law says that I have to provide you with a cooling-off period, to allow you chance to cancel the commission. You can waive your right to this cooling-off period by sending me an email that says that. The commission is classed as a ‘custom made product’ under the Distance Selling Regulations, so once I start painting you have no right to cancel, however if there is a problem, please email me and discuss it with me.
The easiest way to pay is via PayPal. If you aren’t familiar with the system, don’t worry I can help. The shop uses the PayPal cart and lets you checkout using their interface. When you commission miniatures I will send you an invoice through PayPal, which will have a “Pay Now” button on. If you haven’t got a PayPal account you can still use your credit and debit cards through the PayPal interface. If you don’t want to use PayPal, contact me and we’ll arrange an alternative method of paying.
The most difficult part of the quote to get right is the cost of the postage back to you once the order is complete. I’ll charge you what I guess will be the cost for P&P. If, when I post it, I have overcharged, I’ll send you a refund, if I have undercharged, I will make up the difference.
I always send your order by the cheapest insured service that I can find, usually Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. I also charge a small amount for packaging that I use to wrap you order.
I have to comply with the Distance Selling Regulations therefore what follows is the formal terms and conditions of the contract of sale that you agree to enter into when purchasing pre-painted models or issuing a commission. All they say is a formal version of what is detailed above, but if you have any questions feel free to contact me (sales@iseeleadpeople.co.uk) and I’ll try and answer them.
